Sam's Town is Las Vegas' New Best-Kept Secret

13 March 2001

Sam's Town Hotel & Gambling Hall on Boulder Highway in Las Vegas made its reputation on being the establishment where "locals bring their friends".

In the wake of an $86-million expansion and renovation, Sam's Town enters the new millennium with such a new look and feel that it is very likely going to become the place Las Vegas visitors will go back home to tell their friends about.

Quite honestly, if you are planning a trip to Las Vegas and you haven't visited Sam's Town in a while, you owe it to yourself to check out all that they've done. I guarantee that you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Gone is the trademark "Old West" theme. The interiors have been transformed into a touch of San Francisco, which will undoubtedly serve to expand the appeal of Sam's Town and enhance its reputation as the prime alternative for vacationers seeking an escape from the congestion and traffic jams of the Las Vegas Strip.

Just because Sam's Town has gotten bigger and better doesn't mean it has lost its special charm. Courtesy and friendliness are still the top priorities of all the employees. It is still a haven for average recreational gaming enthusiasts who are looking for the best bang for their gambling and vacation dollars. The new "Prime Rewards" slot club offers liberal benefits, the hotel amenities are outstanding, and the gambling is tops, what with 100-times odds on craps, single and double-deck blackjack, and a wide selection of slots and video poker.

"We've successfully maintained our genuine country fun and friendliness while adding an abundance of attractions so everyone can find something they love at Sam's Town," said Joe Fuscaldo, senior vice-president and general manager. "Now locals can have a great time and visitors can enjoy the best of Las Vegas without the bustle of staying on the Strip."

The improvements at Sam's Town are highlighted by the grand opening of the new Firelight Buffet, featuring the kitchen's open rotisseries framed by a steel firewall down which flames cascade to create a unique Las Vegas buffet experience.

Also new is "Sam's Town Live", a 1,100-seat showroom that will give guests an up-close-and-personal view of the headline entertainers, plus an 18-theater movie complex with stadium seating and digital sound. Set to open up in the spring is a new pool and party area with a Hawaiian tropical and party theme which is sure to be a hit with vacationers.

Sam's Town's 648 hotel rooms and suites surround Mystic Falls Indoor Park, home of the spectacular laser and water show called "Sunset Stampede". The 10-minute show is free and is presented every two hours in the afternoon and evening.

Located just six miles off The Strip at Boulder Highway and Flamingo, Sam's Town rightfully has earned a billing as Las Vegas' new best kept secret. For more information log onto www.samstown.com or call 800-897-8696.
